The wedding is less than two months away and I'm the fattest I've ever been. The first time I stepped on the scale, I thought it was PMS. But a week later the number was the same. Same the week after that.

In the small amount of time left, my free time has been spent planning, planning, and more planning for the wedding or resting up as much as I can so that I don't run myself down into another virus or bug.  There's so much to share as far as lessons learned with working with vendors, which I'll be sure to divulge after the wedding.

I was just looking through the photos that I've taken with my phone and have noticed that many of them are of dishes that I have highly enjoyed over the past few months. Below are some dining recommendations that I have for fellow vegetarians in Baltimore:
Picture
Eggplant Parmesan from Alonso's in Roland Park

Why it's so good: Usually it comes with huge slices of eggplant that are breaded and topped with mounds of cheese. The pasta never has too much sauce and is topped with fresh slices of parmesan cheese.

Picture
Pecan Tart from Sweet Bakery in Mt. Vernon

Why it's so good: If you like pecan pie at all, this bite-sized treat will satisfy your senses. I've not tasted pecan pie so full of taste since having a slice in New Orleans many years ago.

Picture
Root Beer Vegan Cupcake from Sweet Bakery in Mt. Vernon

Why it's so good: I thought I would HATE this cupcake. With a subtle chocolate-like cake, you can hardly notice the "root beer." The icing was rich, creamy, and fresh!

Picture
Falafel & Hummus Platter from Tahina's in Owings Mills

Why it's so good: It comes with so many small platters that you get the best of all things great about Mediterranean food. Their sauce bar makes an already good deal even better.

Picture
Seitan Wellington from the Great Sage in Clarksville/Columbia

Why it's so good: Really good comfort food! I think that's all I have to say here.

After taking a look at all this delicious food, I'm starting to realize how I've probably gained weight. Whatevs. I enjoyed every bite.
