Do you believe in ghosts? Whether you do or not, there are a number of websites, videos and photos showcasing sketchy looking places throughout Maryland. Here are a few that really stand out.

1. If you grew up in or around Ellicott City then you probably know about Seven Hills. The ghost truck driver is never spotted (weirdly enough, I always heard that the ghost seen was of a 17-year-old girl). But the video itself is kinda creepy.
2. Glenn Dale Hospital in Prince George's County (15 miles from the D.C. line), consisting of 22 vacant buildings, including what was once a 3-story children's hospital (the thought of children ghosts freak me out more than adults), was a tuberculosis sanitarium in its heyday in the 1930s before becoming a hospital for welfare patients and a hospice.

The 216-acre property was recently up for sale and two companies bid on it!  The short clip below quickly shows just how creepy this place really is.
3. Just last year I used to pass by the burial grounds with Edgar Allan Poe and others' graves every day. Working and sometimes eating lunch less than a hundred feet away from the grave site, I never noticed anything too odd about the place. But, of course, that was during the day. I never took a tour of the graveyard when I worked on the grounds, but now I'm thinking that maybe I should've.
For a full list of locations throughout Maryland, while this site isn't well designed it captures so many stories I've heard over the years: http://theshadowlands.net/places/maryland.htm.

Happy Halloween!
