I'm not really a huge ice hockey fan, but my parents and brother definitely are. And this weekend, they were not alone.
Apparently, thousands of people gathered at a Giant food store in Columbia located at the once Columbia Palace 9 (oh, memories) to meet Mike Green (No. 52 of the Washington Capitals) yesterday, to have hockey pucks and other collectibles signed. He was due to arrive between noon and 1 p.m., but didn't make it there until 1:30 p.m. because of a late practice and 295 traffic. He was sponsored by Muscle Milk and the appearance was advertised on a local TV news station in advance. Somehow I missed it. But like I said, I'm not a huge hockey fan.

Is it just me or did the weekend fly past? For some it must have been amazing because meeting a pro-hockey player is not something that happens for fans all the time.
